Dani and Luke’s story kicked off in 2021 — right in the middle of lockdown life — after matching on a dating app. Their first date was over the phone, the second on video, and by the third, Dani decided to bend the rules a little and break the quarantine rules (and the ring of steel!) to finally meet Luke in person. Totally worth it!
From then on, Luke was spending weekends in Ballarat whenever he could, and it didn’t take long for them to realise they’d found something special. Before they knew it, Dani (and Oreo, of course) packed up and made the move to Melbourne. Oreo quickly found his new best friend in Luke — and the rest, as they say, is history.

Amiee and Dani go way back — all the way to the beginning of high school! Their friendship has aged like fine wine. With her kind heart, gentle spirit, and thoughtful nature, Amiee has always been a calming and caring presence in Dani’s life — the friend who always knows what to say and when to say it. Dani was honoured to stand beside Amiee as her Maid of Honour — and now it’s Amiee’s turn to return the favour.
Paul O'Farrell
Best Man
As Luke’s Best Man, Paul has been his partner in crime for years. They first connected as boss and employee at Flight Centre, but their friendship truly kicked of as housemates who navigated the Covid lockdowns together. Their bond is defined by a non-negotiable annual tradition: a St. Patrick's Day celebration where they drink their body weight in Guinness. Whether it’s a competitive games night at home or a whisky or two at the local, Paul is always ready for a good time. Luke is honored to have this legend by his side.
Ashlee Gervasoni

Ashlee is Dani’s big sister and has been keeping her in line since day one — though she did refuse to call her by her real name at first, insisting on “Lillian”! She’s driven, motivated, and always has a project on the go. Ashlee is generous, thrifty, and the family’s unofficial advisor — always ready with practical wisdom (and usually a spreadsheet). Dani still hasn’t forgotten the pre-straightener days when Ashlee “helped” by ironing her hair… and accidentally clipped her ear in the process! For the wedding day, Dani’s playing it safe and hiring a professional hairdresser.
Juan Gabriel Gallardo Garivito

Juan is one of the kindest and most charismatic people you'll ever meet.
Their friendship began when they met in training at Flight Centre, where Luke had the honor of being his first friend in Australia. He's Luke's career wingman, as he helped him get his current job, and his go-to for a good time. His flamboyant Venezuelan personality is contagious, and their friendship is built on laughs, loyalty, and of course, a healthy dose of El Tigre Grande!
Tameka Burch
Bridesmaid
Tameka and Dani met while working and studying together in their 20s — spending a full day side by side every week, so friendship was pretty much guaranteed! They bonded over their shared passion for psychology, personal growth, and long chats about life (always balanced with plenty of laughs). Tameka’s generous heart, selfless nature, and silly sense of humour make her impossible not to love — even when she can’t decide what to eat!
Rohan Adams
Groomsmen
Rohan is a great friend who has been a part of some of Luke's biggest life moments. Their friendship began as two Aussies living in London. They met through a mutual friend (shout out to Matty Halbert!) they then solidified their friendship during their travels through Scandinavia, where Luke had a hand in helping him get together with his now-wife. Knowing Rohan and Matt were in Melbourne was a major reason for Luke's move here, and he's never looked back. It's only a matter of time before this Groomsman becomes his neighbour.
